All past perceptions were at some point in time present perceptions. If based on irreality, than perceptions become the distorted 'resource' from which to draw perceptions of the present.
A 'Catch-22' scenario develops, where perceptions of the present are
based on irrealistic perceptions of past experiences. These past
irrealistic perceptions generate irrealistic present perceptions which, in
turn, become a resource for perceptions that will be drawn upon in the future.
How does one 'break the loop'? When past perception is based in irreality, then the available resources from which to interpret the present are compromised. Perhaps past perceptions need to first be re-assessed and re-conceived to assure they are realistic before drawing upon them as a point of reference from which to make sense of the present.
