An important omission is the category of 'consonant/inconsonant', which is determined by tone of voice, and an obviously extremely important piece of verbal interaction. Tone of voice can shift statements from one chatagorization of verbal behavior to another (i.e., "I'm so glad you're here!" can be said with inner-feeling, which is a form or resonating, or with sarcasm, which is a form of fighting).

Opinion is neutral information. In and of itself, an
opinion neither drives nor restrains a conversation. It's the response to an
opinion that 'colors the canvas'.
